The Best Virtual Universities Organisation  is committed to user privacy. As a not for profit organization, we respect the law regarding the protection of personal data and the  UK and European legislation on the subject ; therefore you have the right to access your personal data and if necessary to rectify them.

 

As a general member of the public, you can register to receive our electronic newsletter and unsubscribe when you want. You can also participate to discussion forum. Follow the instructions posted on our website. If you want to modify or check your personal data (e.g. e-mail address) please send an e-mail to info@bvu.org.uk . You have the possibility to unsubscribe to our newsletter in every issue you receive from us.

 

As a member of the BVU, your details are published on the organisation's  website. You can access them to check their accuracy and modify them directly , using the username and password which has been attributed to you. If you have lost your username and password, you can request a copy by sending an e-mail to : info@bvu.org.uk .

 

You also have the possibility on our website to register to one or several working groups . This does entitle you to receive specific news on the topic(s) you are interested in, participate in group discussion and access restricted documents on the subject. Join or resign from those groups  on the website.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

• We keep in our Members database the details of all Member organizations and professional details of the main contact people in each of them. Those information are available to everyone on the BVU website. We also keep information for internal purpose about participation to BVU  events. Non-members can subscribe to our newsletter and therefore we keep in our database e-mail addresses of subscribers for dissemination of this service. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose;

• The BVU  will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose(s) identified above and to the mentioned (categories of) recipients. The BVU  will not divulge your personal data for direct marketing purposes;

• The BVU only keeps the data for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose of collection or further processing;

• Adequate security measures have been taken to safeguard your information against possible misuse or unauthorized access as much as it is feasible.
